About Tucson Parks Foundation

Mission

The Tucson Parks Foundation is a non-profit organization working with public and private partners to supplement and support the City of Tucson’s parks, trails and recreation opportunities; particularly those that help children, at-risk youth, seniors and the disabled.

Over the past 20 years the Tucson Parks Foundation has raised more than three million dollars to improve our parks and build a more vibrant community.

The Parks Foundation board and membership is comprised of volunteers from the community who give their time and energy to raise much-needed funds.   Projects to be funded are selected by the membership and board in consultation with City staff.

Vision

  • Parks support healthy lifestyles;
  • Parks and trails connect neighborhoods, and connect the community to each other through place, special events, cultural festivities, recreation and fun;
  • Tucson residents benefit from a healthy park system and recreation opportunities available to all, regardless of where they live, income, ethnicity, or special needs.
